A 76-year-old woman with atrial fibrillation, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, recurrent pneumonia, and repair of an ascending aortic aneurysm with a Dacron graft (DuPont, Wilmingtom, DE) in 2001 (stable over the years) presented to her local hospital with shortness of breath and fever. She also had dysphagia and coughing with oral intake.
