　　Biosketch M Zimmermann 教授

　　个人简介

Michael B. Zimmermann received his M.D.from VanderbiltUniversity School of Medicine, and didhis postgraduate medical training at the University of California in San Francisco.He is currently Professor and Head of the Human Nutrition Laboratory in theDepartment of Health Sciences and Technology, at the Swiss Federal Institute ofTechnology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He is jointly a Visiting Professor in Endocrinology,Diabetes and Nutrition at the University of Zurich Hospital, Switzerland. Prof.Zimmermann has published over 200 peerreviewed papers. His research on iodineand thethyroidhas won the 2004 Mead Johnson Prize for Nutrition Research fromthe American Society for Nutritional Sciences, the 2005 Endocrine Society &Pfizer International Award for Excellence in Published Clinical Research, the 2013International Endocrinology Award of the American Society of Endocrinology andthe 2015 Princess Sirindthorn Health Award of the Government of Thailand. He isChair of the Iodine Global Network and Editor of the IDD Newsletter.
